Loading... Please wait...These watercolor and ink original paintings by Nikki Burnette, fantasy artist, will bring the escape you need to your sactuary. Giselle, Mina and Vienna are among Nikki's most recent creations, and demonstrate the dreamy, stylistic quality of all of her work.
While prints of these mermaids appear on her independent art creations, including bookmarks that we use as hangtags for our Indie In Style line of fashions in the gallery, these are the authentic, signed originals, opulently and professionally matted and framed and ready to hang for immediate enjoyment in your home.
You may want to collect them all:
Giselle, perhaps the most refined mermaid ever painted, is shown visiting her Romanesque pool replete with pillars and urns--She certainly raises the bar for mythical creatures everywhere!
Mina honors all things nautical with her "Return to Me" sentiment tattoo-style and anchor and rose motif--Note the elegant swallow tattoo on her torso. No lighthouse collection would be complete without this icon of the sea, a true red-headed siren!
Vienna represents the valentine spirit of the mermaid, and embodies the love of mermaids we all share, with her rosy outlook on life depicted by hearts from her rosebud lips to the tip of her tailfin... She is the first in Nikki's Portrait of a Mermaid Series.
Each original painting measures about 14 by 16 inches and is presented in a bronze-hued gilt-style wooden frame and signed by the artist.
Artist's Statement:
"Fantasy art is where my heart lies. I love being able to escape the reality of our world for even just a few hours and enter a new fantasy realm where witches play tricks on Halloween Night, fairies fly around the sweet smelling rosebuds, and mermaids swim gracefully through the water with their dolphin friends.
"My art is collected worldwide and I'm licensed with a variety of different companies. I have also been lucky enough to be published in a book and a few magazines and online publications. I also attend fairs and conventions across the Southeast and have recently had the privilege of having my artwork on the cover of the ImagiCon 2010 program cover!" ~ Nikki Burnette, Fantasy Artist
